Melon Magic at the Chinchilla Melon Festival

18th February

The Chinchilla Melon Festival 2025 was a huge success, drawing in crowds from all over to celebrate Australian melons. With exciting activities, fun competitions, and plenty of delicious melon treats, it was truly a festival to remember.

This year we were able to hold a series of sessions in the Wattle Room, where we had the pleasure of hosting Jemma O’Hanlon, renowned dietitian and nutritionist. Jemma took to the stage to share her extensive knowledge about the health benefits of melons, while also demonstrating some easy, nutritious, and delicious ways to incorporate them into everyday meals.

From refreshing summer salads to mouth-watering icy poles, Jemma’s recipes showcased just how versatile melons can be. As promised, we’re thrilled to share the recipes from Jemma’s demonstration so you can recreate them at home! Healthy, delicious and nutritious.
