The Melons Australia MRL App Has Launched!

Posted on 4th August

Melons Australia is very happy to launch the new MRL app for the Australian melon industry. “Melons Australia’s MRL App” provides real-time information on maximum residue limits (MRLs) and withholding periods (WHPs) for both domestic and export markets. With an easy-to-use interface, growers can use the app anywhere and anytime due to its offline capability.

The app was developed to help growers manage chemical application and facilitate trade by providing access to real-time pre and post harvest chemical application data. The app allows for searches based on export market, target pest or disease and/or active constituents.

The Melons Australia’s MRL App has been developed in partnership with the Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) and the Australian Table Grape Association (ATGA) to help industry members comply with MRLs in export markets. Melons Australia staff will review MRL changes on a weekly basis and update WHP recommendations in response to new information as it becomes available.
